Beautiful cinematography. stunning, in fact. this combined with a excellent story built on well-developed characters makes for a truly tasty piece of film. the performances are on the melodramatic side, but that's the feel of the picture, so I can't fault them for that.
this was the film that showed me cinema could be art and broke my cinephile cherry.
