Review of The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1944) by John H — 28 Mar 2008
Long walk & talks, bang bang rapid fire dialog interspersed and sometimes intermingled with slapstick pratfalls, heart, soul, compassion - just a joyous experience. Everyone shines, from a GI with one line to a bravura callback to THE GREAT McGINTY - Sturges writes rings around the so called comedy writers of today.
Can you imagine what he'd be cranking out nowadays?
