Review of The Million Dollar Hotel (2000) by James M — 07 May 2008
It felt like East Hastings with Mel Gibson as the miscast detective and Bono as the busker.
There may be some sort of redemption message hiding below the surface, but unfortunately I find little of it - and what I think might be, is only wrapped in a foolish suicide and "momentary" love (very similar to the disappointing American Beauty).
If you want a real story about an idiot, than read just that: Dostoevsky's The Idiot - which tackles truth better than this.
