Review of The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) (2017) by Moviemitch96 — 13 Oct 2017

Pretty standard fare from director Noah Baumbach, so if you're familiar with his quirky dramedy style, you'll likely find much to like about this film. The acting from everyone involved is remarkable, with the likes of Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, and Emma Thompson all lighting up the screen with their pitch perfect combination of comedic and dramatic acting chops.

Seriously though, this movie just proves that Adam Sandler does have potential and can act, he just needs to choose to break away from all of his ridiculous comedies that he seems to love doing too much if he wants to be taken seriously by the masses the way I was able to with him for this film.

Aside from the acting, I will admit that some of the scenes, conversations, and direction in the film felt a bit aimless at times, but for the most part, this was still another decent addition to Baumbach's lineup of films.
