Review of The Messenger (2009) by Jennifer J — 24 Mar 2011
Foster and Harrelson are masterful in this story about two soldiers given the task of informing the next of kin of a soldier's death. The film powerfully and skillfully exposes the audience to a side of any modern war that is often overlooked.
Full of heart-wrenching scenes, the events in this film invite the audience (without beating it over the head) to come to terms with how they feel about the cost of military action.
