Michael keaton's first movie as director. depressing romance movie but very original about a girl running from an abusive relationship then rescuing and bonding with a suicidal murderer. slow art house cinematography and piano sounds adds to subtle sensibilities.
kelly macdonald is cute in her native and heavy british accent.
