Review of The Merry Gentleman (2008) by Scott F — 31 Dec 2011
Really enjoyed this.
Story is of a suicidal hitman (Michael Keaton) who stumbles across Kelly Macdonald, who's just moved into the same area after escaping her abusive husband.
They slowly build up a relationship (no not sexually) and become close friends, and Keaton's character suddenly starts to have something to live for... or does he.
Its a slow film, not exactly dialogue heavy, but its a well told story, with good performances from Keaton and Macdonald, and its also funny in a weird way.
Well worth watching.
4/5.
