Review of The Medusa Touch (1978) by Jonathan G — 08 Sep 2007
I remember this being panned, but it's a great adaptation of Van Greenaway's novel (ideally you should read the novel to supplement Morlar's diaries). Burton is mesmeric as the increasingly misanthropic, haunted Morlar - and a particularly interesting development is that Morlar's character ultimately harnesses his power for anti-imperialistic ends.
If only we had a Morlar for every coronation and military adventure.
