Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Rob C — 05 Oct 2009
Quite possibly the best role Antonio Banderas has been involved in. Catherine Zeta-Jones give an equally impressive role as Elena. Whereas, Hopkins and Banderas play off eachother with much witt, it's in his love interest in Elena that take the film to new heights.
I don't think the film would have been as great if these two actors weren't involved. As evident, in their first duel against eachother where Zorro strips Elena with only his sword. The Mask of Zorro has some great action sequences, but it's in the dialogue that held my interest the most.
