Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Chase R — 20 Apr 2010
Good comedy, exciting action, well acted, and sexy. This film is one of the best crowd pleasing films of the 90s.
The film is about an old Zorro (Anthony Hopkins) who seeks revenge on the evil Governor of California for taking his daughter(Catherine Zeta-Jones) away from him. However do to complications he needs a replacement (Antonio Banderas).
The film has some of the best stunt work I have ever seen in a movie, it also a good score by the great James Horner. The film is well directed by Martin Campbell, who also directed Goldeneye and Casino Royale. Campbell, here shows us why he is one of the best action film directors of all-time. Watch this movie if you have not, you will have swashbuckling good time.
