Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Jim W — 27 May 2010
Anthony Hopkins shines as the old Zorro, who trains an unstable young man (Antonio Banderas) to be the new Zorro. While Hopkins tries to get back the daughter that (Cathrine Zeta-Jones) was stolen from him when he was younger. She has been made to believe that Zorro's old enemy Montero is in fact her father.
The movie is fun and well acted, it's also exciting. I can't think of a better more recent swashbuckler, except for maybe the Pirate of the Carribean movies.
