The story of a pushover guy who changes to a jiving suited hellion is a perfect vehicle for Jim Carrey's frantically and hyperactive acting style. Openly made for nothing more than entertainment and focused on achieving that goal, it also employs a cartoonish style that is visually rewarding and gives the movie a somewhat original and memorable look.
