Review of The Man with One Red Shoe (1985) by Xander K — 18 Mar 2017
This is one of the few old comedies with Tom Hanks that I had never seen. It has a good supporting cast including Dabney Coleman, James Belushi, Charles Durning, Tom Noonan, and Carrie Fisher. Despite the stellar cast, the story is weak, it's based on a French comedy from the 70's, but it doesn't translate well.
Being a fan of Hanks from the 80's, it was worth a watch for me, especially seeing Hanks and Fisher together as I love the in "The 'burbs", but I can't recommend this film. It isn't that funny and is pretty slow at times.
