Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Adam S — 05 Jul 2007
Well, pilgrim... This is the first movie to pair John Wayne and James Stewart, and the last great John Ford film, and John Ford Western. It's about the settling of the west, the taming of the untamable and the excruciating, often unheroic crush of civilization, but at the same time the civilization isn't condemned, it just couldn't coexist with the anarchy of the west.
