Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by Codie E — 15 May 2008
Very good storytelling from John Ford, I was happily suprised by the small scale of the film, focusing on the small town and the relationships built within it. Wayne is particularly impressive in a subtle and quietly moving performance, taking a back seat to Stewart's empassioned lawyer.
Marvin is also in fine snarling form as Liberty Valance.
