Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) by Kevin D — 31 Oct 2007
I though Hitchcock was really off his game here. The climax is just shrill, and the master's misanthropy is unsubtly given free rein in a number of awkward would-be comic scenes. Stewart seems to be trying, but Doris Day is awful.
I guess this is what happens when you remake your own material? Maybe Hitchcock's cynicism got the best of him.
