Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) by Julie G — 11 Jul 2008
Hard to say which version of The Man Who Knew Too Much is better. This updated American version or the original British version. The original 1934 version is quick, fast, and doesn't stop to pause.
The kid gets kidnapped in the first 5 minutes and the parents do everything they can to get there child back. In this 1956 version events are expanded upon and heighten to the next level. This version appears more professionally made and thought out by Hitchcock, where as the first seems like it was made by an ametuer film maker.
This version has Doris Day singing her, what would become, signature song, Que Sera, Sera. While the first version has a great shoot out at then end.
