Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) by Petros T — 22 Oct 2013
"TMWKTM" is witty, elegant and quick-paced (while many Hitch films betray the flow of the action with a view to blending different genres). It also features a superb score (which plays a more than crucial role in the brainsmashing Albert Hall scene) and two excellent protagonists (Day, Stewart).
But, most important of all, it is an exquisitely directed thriller - way better and classier that the original - and one that owes almost everything to the genius Alfred Hitchcock was.
