Review of The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) by Andy F — 27 Feb 2013
Very much like Nic Roegs previous film, dont look now, it's extremely well shot and edited, with some great scenes and uses of music, the acting is all solid too, bowie especially as the lead, hes got a nice detached air about him, rip torn is also good, and buck henry as well, however, just like dont look now, what starts as an intriguing concept, eventually unravels until its a mess at the end, things just seem to happen without any explanation, characters are introduced without any explanation, and time seems to pass without any indication at random, I kinda tapped out mentally at the end, by that point I had almost no clue what was going on.
