Review of The Man on the Eiffel Tower (1949) by Daniel M — 14 Jun 2017
And they say these old movies are boing.... and this one was. I fell asleep three times.
I picked it out of the lot because it stars Charles Laughton who was noticeably a great actor (even in this role) and was directed by Burgess Meredith (which I didn't even know was a thing) but there were some noticeable plot holes, crazy cuts and little dialogue to speak of. Add that all up and I just didn't care that the aforementioned plot holes weren't the well-what-about this kind but the wait-what-how-did-we-get-here kind.
