Plain and simple, the Maltese Falcon has a great performance by Bogart, a really complex string of characters' motives, great detail and depth of background story, and all the suspense of an action film without any real violence.
With this, although it is hard to say any movie is perfect, the Maltese Falcon deserves the 100% score.
Just watch it and and realize that all the twists, turns, dialogue, and true tension we see in today's movies (I wish) are because of a movie like the Falcon.
See it!!
