Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Kestutis K — 18 May 2010
Everything works in this film. Everything. The cast, the writing, the plot, the pacing, the directing, the cinematography and the music. John Huston's directorial debut may have been low budget, but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it.
Not just the quintessential starting point for Film Noir, but one of the best movies ever made.
