Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by David T — 05 Oct 2010
Humphrey Bogart stars in the benchmark film noir.
A very complex film which twists and turns until the killer punch line.
Bogart with his voice made of silk steamrolls into the big time as a private detective tangled up in a scenario of lies, con-men, killers and blaggersâ?¦but who to believe? Which side to choice?
Everyone for themselves, everyone in a race for the Maltese Falcon and itâ??s riches.
I think for fans of cinema and itâ??s rich past of great movies and actors then this movie is a must see.
Personally not my favourite but still a movie that deserves the respect and rank amongst the finest.
A true classic and herald as one of the most influential movies of all-time.
