Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Ethan T — 30 Oct 2010
What a cast. Bogart and Astor vie to outdo each other in the jaded cynicism stakes, Peter Lorre is charmingly oleaginous as the least villainous crim ever, and Sydney Greenstreet amuses as the wry and jocular Gutman.
And remember Mr Cairo, 'When you're slapped, you'll take it and like it'!
