Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Akira K — 04 Feb 2013
It almost pains me to have to give this film a below average rating, with it being such a universally lauded classic and a milestone in film noir. It may just reflect my own unsophisticated personal taste, but I found this to be a little too convoluted for me to fully enjoy.
However, it was great to see Bogart sporting his hat and playing such an iconic character, and to soak in the creepiness of Lorre's face.
