Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Josepi K — 30 Jun 2009
Mix the sharp, straight-laced protagonist (Humphrey Bogart as Sam Spade) with equally sharp, yet despicable beings who put out a hefty bounty on the lives of those who venture too close to the ugly greed that surrounds a priceless statuette.
Add in an aspiring director ready to who knows how to effectively tell a story containing so much gold, and what comes out is perhaps the greatest mystery ever to hit movie screens.
