Review of The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) by Phillip J — 27 Aug 2009

I have expressed hatred and frustration towards the other works of Orson Welles but this is probably one of the few of his movies that are after my heart. I mean, a wealthy and spoiled family who go through a lot of tough times and all the melodrama? Really worthy of my affection.

But I am kind of pissed off since that asshole doesn't get his real comeuppance, the one that he truly deserves. Maybe, Welles' original ending could have given me that satisfaction.
