Review of The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) by Brent C — 11 Jan 2014
Orson Welles' follow up to Citizen Kane was another classic. This one follows the ups and downs of a grand old family around the turn of the 20th century. The focus is on the youngest member of the family and gives a tragic turn on the folly and ignorance of youth which can only be cured through hard experience.
A wonderful film featuring a cast of the members of Welles' Mercury Theatre.
