Review of The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) by Chris B — 13 Oct 2011
I have not seen it complete (so, I reserve my right to change my mind), but it didn´t seem to me as incredible as people spoke about it. Yeah, you can see some nice shots to underline that Orson Wells is directing the movie, but the story is only one of these melodramas with not special interest.
Somehow, a Citizen Kane 2 (with a very similar character), but the tricks are not absolutely new, as it happened with the previous one. But, as I say, I should watch it complete.
