Angela's Ashes meets Midnight Express. Quite an accomplished film--the story is well told with restraint and narrative skill. But from the first five minutes it's a rough, depressive ride that never lets up.
By the end, you'll want to go out and punch five Catholic nuns in the face. Seriously.
