Review of The Magdalene Sisters (2002) by Joanne I — 20 Apr 2009
Not an easy film to watch as there are perhaps too many stories of abuse, control and utter evil behaviour by the men in black of the chatolic church. It is of course only a small percentage of those who abuse their position in the 60's, but year by year, you have to question, should the church have any role in educating children at all? Why not just have highly educated teachers and allow 18 year olds to choose which religion they want to follow or not when they are old enough to understand.
