"lovely" to behold, despite the dark subject matter because jackson wisely chooses to dwell on the aftereffects of the murder. it is a but a bit dull in the middle third, but the rest is quite engrossing.
I could follow the story despite not reading the book. glad I saw it on the big screen, dvd viewing might not do it justice....
