Great books donâ(TM)t always translate to good movies, and this is probably the poorest example of that. The book was fast moving, captivating, suspenseful. This movie was...awful. Much of it has to do with the cloyingly childish voice of the narrator.
Itâ(TM)s disjointed and I guess the CGI was an attempt to make up for the lack of storyline/acting but it fails miserably. Iâ(TM)m upset that I lost roughly 2 hours of my life because of this movie.
Read the book. Definitely donâ(TM)t watch the movie.
