Review of The Lost World (1925) by Michael J — 19 Dec 2007
When it comes to science fiction silent movies I find nothing compares to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1916) for it broke some ground and the story was very cohesive. Now, having said that I must reassure you that Sir Arthur Conan Doyleâ??s The Lost World is incredible. The clay animation is well done, especially the Pterodactyl.
The volcano eruption was interesting and having burning trees in the fore and back ground made the characters look like they are truly in trouble.
I would recommend this to any silent film and/or science fiction enthusiast.
