Review of The Lost World (1925) by Kevin N — 01 Apr 2010
All on a "girlish whim"! I love the sense of adventure this film has, a real longing for excitement that movies just don't seem to have anymore. The premise is almost plausible, and when these characters finally get to the island we get to discover the wonders of the creatures on it right alongside them- and it's exhilarating! The special effects by Delgado and O'Brien were revolutionary and still look great today; their influence on Harryhausen are undeniable.
