Review of The Lost Weekend (1945) by Jeff B — 18 Jan 2011
Great acting from Ray Milland, the opening scene with him, his brother and his girlfriend is the perfect way to set up the film. And the moments when he's searching so hard for money to get a drink, it's difficult to watch.
Sure, at times it's obvious this was made in 1945, but it's still pretty true to today. I guess it's a worthy Best Picture winner.
