Review of The Lost City of Z (2017) by Benn B — 06 May 2017
Fascinating true story of the search for the Lost City of Z in the Amazonian jungle. While it held my interest I was a bit disappointed as I expected more. The movie was a bit of a period piece and moved back and fourth between England and the uncharted territories of the Amazon with WWI intervening.
The movie makers tried to cram too much in in too little time. Sometimes less is more. The movie lacked the proper depth for my taste.
