This is the movie that started it all for me. I had read the books when I was younger, liked them, but seeing them come to life changed me from a mild-mannered child, into a super fan.
This will always be my favorite of the trilogy, because it introduced so much to the storyline and did it so well. It was also amazing to see the innocence of the Hobbits slowly shift and change over time.
