Peter Jackson's beginning of an epic trilogy was nothing but epic, but also humorous. The cast was perfect to bring Tolkien's classic to life. The special effects were so vivid and eye-popping, that I thought it was all real.
And the adventure is even the best part, the theme of adventure is translated into the movie with a pitch-perfect sense. The great beginning to a great trilogy.
