Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) by John M — 16 Apr 2016
These films are the epitome of how to make a decently paced and smart Fantasy action adapting from source material. Fellowship introduces the world from top to bottom and when the story takes off, it's just as emotional in its story as it is entertaining in its action.
Sure, there's a tone to this film that's reminiscent of every Fantasy and franchise, but LOTR really encapsulates you in a world more than most Fantasy and Peter Jackson is including every single detail here without bogging the film down too much, unlike "The Hobbit.
