Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) by Jacob B — 06 Jul 2018
A great start to Peter Jackson's classic trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring translates J.R.R. Tolkien's classic to life and Middle-Earth is wonderfully realized. The performances are great, the battles are tense, the score is great and the visuals AND the cinematography are beautiful.
Who wouldn't want to go to New Zealand after seeing this movie? The world-building and sets are really impressive with the complex computer-generated camera movements have you bask in the glory of what I assume is Saruman's evil lair and Rivendell.
Plus, there are some really scary scenes that have you wishing the One Ring never ends up in your posession, A great start.
