The first in a trilogy of movies that become better and better, this movie was to my generation what Star Wars was to my parents: a movie that appeared on the eve of a dreadfully boring period of movies and then captured hearts and minds forever with its characters, scenery, stirring score, and timeless storytelling.
This is where your journey down Middle-Earth begins, and after which you will never be the same again.
