This movie is a hybrid ... it's a bastard-child of cinema [a very positive remark by the way]: part heist movie; part thriller/psychological drama; with a dash of some crime-noir-ish roots. This is a flick propelled by it's acting and story-telling abilities; there is the occasional plot whole and/or disappearing love interest, but nothing tooo gaping to suck you into it.

My man Jojo Gordon-Levitt surprises me once again by kicking ass and taking names ... kind of; not on screen necessarily, but as an actor. If [and when] I see 500 Days of Summer and I am blown away by Jojo, I will officially have a man-crush.

The cast is fantastic: Jeff Daniels was the comic blind friend [something every movie needs in my opinion,] and Matthew Goode puts on his American accent and rocks being the bad guy. Well him and Bones, but he rarely spoke.

[Wait, did he even speak?] Scott Frank, the amazing writer [and SURPRISE!] director of this movie makes an awesome debut. Looking forward to more from him as both a writer and director. The movie itself is beautiful; I mean Kansas in the winter-time? HELL YES! Some great shots and angles through-out; my artsy side was delighted.

The trailer was a tad deceitful; it hints at a twist, but there isn't really one. This movie didn't need one. I am buying this as soon as my wallet allows wills it so.
