Review of The Long Riders (1980) by Eric H — 15 Oct 2007
I lost interest very quickly in this, but I did find the concept of casting real brothers in the roles very cool. I was surprised that they downplayed Jesse James in this, it seemed like it was more about the Younger brothers.
Either way, I could not get into it, possibly because I am currently awaiting The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford to be released near me and I am also reading the book, so I have my mind on a different interpretation of the story.
The gunfight near the end is very well done, however, and rivals any other gunfight I have seen in other westerns.
