Review of The Long Riders (1980) by Tim M — 03 Jul 2009
A rather interesting western about the James and Younger gang, cast with several sets of real-life brothers in the various parts. Everyone does pretty solid work in their roles (David Carradine is especially memorable), though I do have to admit the movie could've used an extra 30 minutes to flesh out its characters a bit more.
It's definitely worth a viewing though if for no other reason than the amazing shootout toward the end that rivals the finale of THE WILD BUNCH for sheer brutality.
