Review of The Long, Hot Summer (1958) by Hannah R — 24 Dec 2007
The duo of Newman and Woodward (who in real life are actually married, thanx to them sharing the same screen on this particular film), steam up this movie and make it hotter than its own setting. So much hatred in this movie and anger.
The chemistry to it all makes it so spontaneous and catacalysmic that it surprises you, so to say it's cliche is deffinitely not right. A very loveable movie, with loveable people!
