Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Jacob C — 29 Jun 2007
Robert Altman's great, if controversial, take on Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe. PM is a bit like Rip Van Winkle, like he stepped from the 40s to the 60s, hippy chicks across the way. A great cat food sequence and an early Arnie appearance.
Not a film noir though! A big influence on The Big Lebowski too...
