Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Curtis D — 01 Feb 2009
The anti-Philip Marlowe set in present day L.A. dealing with everything from Jewish gangsters to his fickle pet cat. A very dark ending caps this otherwise jaunty romp with about 20 different variations on the theme song.
Listen for it playing muzak-style over the loud speaker at the supermarket.
