Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Stephen E — 08 Mar 2012
A different, idiosyncratic version of Phillip Marlowe that nonetheless captures the great cynicism of the legendary private eye and of the era it was filmed in. Altman's version of 'The Long Goodbye' is one of the most moody, surreal, witty films ever made and also one of the greatest.
