Review of The Long Good Friday (1980) by Graham C — 06 Nov 2007
Decent British gangster films are in short supply. This one has the menace, the style and the story to draw you in. So engaging is the film that you want the jumped up, little shit to win through, but it's not his day which as the plot develops is a considerable understatement.
Have we come close to this in 25 years? With the answer a no, you can see this film stands up.
